ザクロ pomegranate

エリコの城壁の跡、誘惑の山、ザーカイの木、これらはエリコにあります。
エリコは現在パレスチナ自治区の中にあります。
エリコの城壁の遺跡のところには果物がたくさん売られています。
中でもザクロは目につきます。

There are in Jericho famous historic spots; the remains of the ancient city wall, The mount of Temptation and  Zaccheus's sycamore tree. Jericho, nowaday, belongs to the Palestinian Autonomy area. Around the ruins of the ancient wall, so many people run stalls and are selling fruits especially pomegranate.

その場でジュースにしてくれるところがあります。日本では贅沢品だと思いますが、ここでは高くありません。すごーくおいしいフレッシュジュースです。

At some stalls, they make juice from pomegranate fruits immediately on demand. The pomegtanate juice is rather expensive in Japan, but here in Israel it is cheap and delicious fresh drink.
